Should BioShock 3 revisit Rapture?

This post is in response to Kotaku’s question, “Should BioShock 3 revisit Rapture?”
While I didn’t enjoy BioShock 2 as much as the original, I couldn’t see myself playing BioShock 3 in any other setting. Rapture is BioShock. Without it, it’s just another FPS.
Personally, I’d love to see BioShock 3 taking place about 50 years after BioShock 3. People have come back to Rapture. Repopulated, commercialized, and bastardized. We all know nothing perfect will stay that way forever.
Rapture is a huge city. They could squeeze out at least 3 more games taking place in Rapture before you would start to grow tired of the place.
Slicers could retake the city. The people could activate and reprogram the Big Daddies to act as personal body guards.
Some Big Daddies could go rouge and slaughter people. Maybe they see the children of Rapture as their own and protect them while killing everyone else. It’d still give the world that creepy innocence when you see kids playing jump-rope while oblivious to what’s going on.
Naturally, glass walls would shatter and take out hundreds of people. Maybe a shark could ram a glass wall for hilarity’s sake and eat people. Om nom nom.
Just like in the first BioShock, you will play as a normal guy. Playing as a Big Daddy was fun and all, but being an overpowered
BioShock 3 could be Titanic: The Game. But with sharks and hook-hands!
i agree. i didn't enjoy the second one as much as the first one, mainly because of weapon choice and it seemed like they were cheap on everything like how much ammo you find and how much money you collected. storyline wise… i was satisfied but the circus of values didn't say "Welcome to the circus of valuuuuus" (loved that, obviously) and when you finally think you hit a goldmine in the ammo department… turns out you don't get to use ANY of it! bastards! i think i'll still like the third one but i just don't think it's gonna feel the same. still can't wait though.
Anyone split our butt up! I would adore a couple of converted to t-shirts.
