And I got mixed reviews from people but I said that Daughtry pretty much killed rock music until the old stars from the 80's (AC/DC, KISS etc) are coming back with kick ass albums.

the..fuck...? Th.. What? Don't talk about things you know nothing about.
Alt Rock is ...Not Creed. or Nickelback.
It's stuff like R.E.M. or The Cure, god the Pixies even. Alternative Rock is well... Alternative to the mainstream.

Excuse me? Don't tell me what to do sir, my life, not yours. All I did was a mini-survey the other day and got mixed reviews. Lots of people agreed with me and lots just lol'd and said no.

Don't talk about things you know nothing about. Take your own advice. The Cure and R.E.M. were once considered an obscure genre called College Radio. Bands once considered in the College Radio genre would include The Smiths, Depeche Mode, and Siousxie and the Banshees (who also feature Robert Smith of the Cure at one time).
Alternative Rock would be bands like Belly, Mazzy Star, The Breeders, Nirvana (even if they like to call them a grunge band >_>), Sonic Youth, Weezer, Foo Fighters, etc.
That is your daily PSA.

I've never cared so much about being genre specific. If I like it, I like it and I tend to listen to a bit of everything.
Hate me for saying it, and while I'm not Christian in any way, shape, or form, I like Creed. Don't ask.

Got into Lady Gaga about a month ago. A 'girl' friend introduced me into her and fell in love with her music since. Excellent lyrics especially her newish hit 'Bad Romance'. Her music makes me wanna go back into the pop music world and see how it is now sense I've stopped listening to it about a year & half ago and switched to Country music.
