I liked it, it was what the Death Race remake wanted to be. I think most of the people here in the GZ should check it out, but don't expect it to be too serious. I really like how Neveldine/Taylor can balance out a decent story with lots of action. Oh, and there are quite a few cameos like Efren Ramirez (Pedro), Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli from Heroes - Plays a character named "Rick Rape" haha), Zoe Bell, Aaron Yoo, and Alison Lohman.

Also, the "Society" game is hilarious. Think Sims or Second Life but with real people being controlled by the players.

This is a short post because I don't want to spoil the movie.

Nice I had hopes for this movie when I saw the trailer. I loved Death Race so I can't wait to see this. We might actually agree on a movie...creepy:)

MovieBob's review said it SUCKED, but that's his opinion and we disagree about Halo, so I'm not 100% with him on everthing. Ya. Definitely going to check it out though. lol

I'm sure a lot of people will hate it, and yes, most of the things in it have been seen before, but Neveldine/Taylor actually care about the films they make and you can see that in the quality of the movie. Make sure you see Crank 2 before you see this, though. If you don't like the style of C2, you will hate this.


Oh, and the Death Race remake should have been more like Death Race 2000 than The Running Man. It would have been a masterpiece. Has anyone here even seen DR2k?

Majority hated the movie, I don't blame them. The movie was a really, REALLY good idea... But it just had horrible execution for it. All the porno, nudity scenes were very unnecessary, no point in the movie basically except the "Society" but at some parts, not all over the place. The huge, obese 500 lb man had no point in the movie and basically forcing you not to have waffles ever again. Michael C Hall from Dexter was in this movie and by golly he had some horrible acting in this that didn't want to take you of what his character really was. I feel really sorry for those families taking their 8-10 year old kids to this movie because they're for sure going to learn a lot and finally know what porn is at a very early age... Its rated fucking R for a reason people! It should of been a good movie, really it should have but did not have the execution.

If you didn't, then why the hell did you go see Gamer. Thats just the way Neveldine/Taylor make their films, and every part of it worked just fine. I think the fat guy really added to the story behind Society, and it helped give you a better idea of how the game was used in the real world and what the actors were going through.

Yes I saw Crank 2, kickass just like the first one. Both great films. But I don't see how that fits in to this one unless you're talking about how "the way Neveldine/Taylor make their films" is a bunch of hoo-ie in my opinion. The trailer is totally different from the movie, big time. That's what sucked me into this movie was a fantastic made trailer for Gamer AND people also told me if you liked Death Race, go see this flick. Boy did I get suckered in for a bad flick I tell you... This film was just utter garbage, so many plot holes that you can drive an 18-wheeler right through it and seriously, yes at some points the "porn" and boobs were necessary to say BUT having it about 80% of the movie is just wow, too much? Great idea of a movie, but poor execution.

Gamer was much better than Death Race, now THAT had poor execution. I thought you knew that this entire movie was over the top? I think it was still more relevant than most modern action movies.... Also, Crank 2 had just the same amount of T and A, which really wasn't that much. I don't know why you're bitching about that.... And there isn't even a sex scene in the film, there are things that lead into one, but it never actually happens.

At times, you can tell what the movies is about just by watching the trailer. A very easy example is the new Bruce Willis movie that is coming out.

Yeah, that trailer pretty much ruined the movie. Haha, I don't know if I want to see it now.

They made the Surrogates trailer like the old school trailers.
