what's DA?

some people say writting is art so i guess that's my area. i don't do much of it and i'm still in the noob status but i love doing it and so that's what i do. ^_^

i think of it as a very expensive sculpting/animation skill...there's so many little things you need to learn to make it (the programs you work with) do what you want.

Oh I believe it. I've spent almost the last year learning photoshop and know I don't know everything. I do ceramic sculpting and photomanipulating using photoshop so I know a lil bit of what you mean, but not by much. I can't imagine doing what I can so easily do with my hands in a computer program! Wish I could though because I totally want an accurate pic of my main rpc. XD

Hmm...if I were to compare a program like MAYA to Photoshop...

(and I'm not trying to belittle PS...I love PS, just trying to show the depth of 3d stuff)

Photoshop is like a sailboat. Elegant, but takes skill to use.

MAYA is like a Galleon...multi-tiered, can be very specialized, incredibly robust.

I have to use Photoshop as a tool for MAYA. It's ridiculously sick. I've been working on this program for over 5 years and I don't think I've scratched the surface...in addition, they keep adding new shit every year. UGH.

But anyways, thanks for the good wishes...I'm actually doing a test for a job.

And I know there's no way ps could compare to a program like MAYA. I'd get lost. @_@ I am more than happy with my lil graphics tablet and my photoshop. Still, even ps can't compare to paintshop pro when it comes to fonts. That's one thing I do wish ps had.... More font options.

I want to get into learning to make gifs. Not like icons etc... But like moving characters etc. I've made one of a wolf running (not easy) and wouldn't mind a custom one of my rpc Homiko with her sword(s). Any ideas? Anyone into that?

Main arts that I'm into:
Baking (I consider it an art--culinary arts)
Origami
String stuffs (macrame?)
plushies

and I try to do new and interesting things often
I think I'm going to make something on my wall out of post its.

That's an interesting form of art.

Well, I haven't seen your work, but I'm sure you're better than I am. ^_^; I'm still a beginner. I've only recently got into photomanipulation etc. So I bet there's a lot you could teach me/give advice on. I'll definately give you a message! Thank you!
