Personally, a few of my favourite books are:
Eragon (along with Eldest--but I haven't read Brsinger yet)
Harry Potter series (4th was my favourite!! Book and movie. I didn't like 6 or 7 so much though.)
Love That Dog (It's not quite a novel. It's an elementary school child's poetry book thing for an experiment in class, but I really liked it. It's not real though.. eh)
Twilight (I read New Moon and didn't like it except JACOB is adorableee <3 I haven't read the others because I didn't really like New Moon, but people have told me it gets better again, so I'll probably pick them up soon)
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (it was my summer reading book for school but I loved it)
and my favourite author is Rachel Cohn. She writes young adult books focused mainly for a teenage girl audience, so I'm not sure that any of you would be interested in her writing. But I love her books so much. My favourite book/series of all time is Gingerbread/Shrimp/Cupcakes. I'm currently reading Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List, which is an amazing novel by her and David something.. I'll put his name later.. But it's so cool, because they alternate chapters. They first did this in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, which I read over the summer and is awesomeness. It's going to be a movie, coming out October 3rd, so you may have heard of it.
So, what are your favourites?
They don't have to be novels either.
Or would you care to discuss my/anybody else's personal choices?
Come on and join in the conversation!

HOW to Kill a Mockingbird?
sounds violent.
To Kill a Mockingbird is a good book though. We had to read it in 9th grade, but it was good anyways.

I think that's in the normal level english class curriculum for 12th grade at my school.
I'm in the smartkid class though, so I won't be reading it. Not for school at least. I heard it was good though.

I didn't read it for school. I read it after I saw the movie.

To Kill a MockingBird was a fucking great movie. I want Gregory Peck's voice. ZOMG.
But my favorite kinds of books vary. I like shit that interests me, so I'm usually the guy with a star wars book in my hand.

Actually, that'd fit better in a currently reading thread... I'll go make one.
... Unless it already exists. Then I'll just post in it.

I actually liked the book of Mice and Men, had to read it in hs. Catcher in the Rye will always be one of my favorites. Outsider's is fun too.
I haven't read too much lately, but when my dad was in the hospital and sleeping, or in surgery, I'd read Wicked. Or Son of a Witch. Seriously trying to get bf to get tickets for that when its playing here in March. :D

"The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents"
what's that book about?
About a cat and a bunch of rats that run a Pied Piper scam. The rats decide it's unethical, and don't want to do it anymore, so they agree to run one last one in a little town, but discover that something is not quite right with the town.
It's a good book. Very funny. Terry Pratchett.
i keep hearing the name terry pratchett everytime i ask for a author recommendation
