i told my aunt i would be her 3rd party a while back. this was before we made plans to go to my in-laws (6 hour drive from here). well i found out that i was approved to be her 3rd party... but they we didn't have the money to get her out. me thinking, that it's gonna take a long time for my grandma to get that kind of money, went ahead and made plans to go ahead with the whole in-laws on christmas thing. well two nights ago, i got her out, because they told me that she would be on an ankle monitor and that it isn't necessary for me to be there. i was told that by numerous people, and NOT by her lawyer or a judge. well i went ahead and got her out cuz it made sense... that's what the monitors are for.
well today, i find out that the monitor is only to keep track of her alcohol intake (which she is allergic to so she doesn't drink... i haven't seen her drink since i was like, 5 yrs old) and that she can take it off anytime she wants... but has to have it back on at certain times to make sure she's not drinking and that as long as i'm with her... it doesn't matter where she goes.
so... now i'm locked into being a 3rd party... AND i'm locked into leaving on the 25th! it's either go to jail... or have the entire family be pissed off at me for the NEXT 5 years. the answer is obvious... but i don't even know what the fuck i'm supposed to be. 3rd party? or 3rd party sometimes? i can't take her with me! she's not allowed to leave town.
if it wasn't for christmas... i wouldn't have this fuckin choice to make. and if it wasn't for her doing what she was doing... again, i wouldn't have to be freaking out all fuckin day! i can't get a hold of her lawyer. i don't know WHO i'm supposed to get answers from, besides him.
