Since there seems to be alot of debate in the popular media now about atheism vs. religion, what are everyone's views about God and Religion. Is God still relevant, or like the gods of past cultures, have we effectively Killed him?

My life is filled with believe, thanks to God. I think God is the ultimate joy and he fills my life with joy.

Science reinforces my belief in God, it does not disprove him in any way but rather show how powerful God is. I believe both in how the Earth was created by God and Science.

my quote pretty much says it all. God is an imaginary friend for adults. i find it strange we grow up believing in the boogyman, santa claus, the tooth fairy, god, the easter bunny, etc etc, yet god is the only one we continue believe in. and there is much more viable proof of santa imo. there are tons of stories about him. why cant he live in the north pole undetected? god lives undetected. why cant he make it around the world in a night? god is supposedly everywhere at once. just some food for thought. you cant call a belief in ANYTHING ridiculous if you believe in god
