The GED is a whore.

Ok, so I dropped out a month ago and took my ged the next day, and I scored in the upper 90's on everything EXCEPT MATH, where I had a 27%. I thought the test was REALLY EASY and I expected a great score, but I didnt pass and I have spent the past month studying to see what I missed. Well, I got to re-take it today, and this time it was a different copy, but after I got home they called me up and told me that they gave me the same one as last time. THIS ONE WAS DIFFERENT, they marked it as the wrong test last time. I failed it a month ago because of their stupid mistake and now I have to go back and take it a THIRD TIME. I'm glad that its just the math part, but still, this is such bullshit. Its a total waste of my time.

High school is total bullshit, so I have been waiting to get my GED for a year now, and I dropped out right before the new semester started. If I work hard enough, I could graduate with an associates degree with an art major by the time that I would have normally graduated high school. So, by doing this, I am putting myself ahead, and that is why I dropped out.

Now, when I had taken it the first time, I scored high in everything but math, and when I looked at my paper I saw that it was 1 percent. We didn't really think much about it because I was tired and pretty much blanked out most of that day, so we didn't bring the error to their attention. They just said that I filled in the wrong bubbles. I didn't have to go back and take it a third time (Oh thank you mr.jesus.)because we talked to them about it and they realized that they marked it as the wrong test the first time, so now they will contact the state office on Tuesday and get permission to rescan my original test.
