It depends on preference.

Some people may like the movies others find repulsive.

For me, if it's a DVD buy, it has be a good story or be good to play while doing other things.

My off-the-top-of-my-head...List:

-Anything Pixar (I just got the WALL-E 3 disc set, wewt)
-The Usual Suspects
-Gladiator
-Family Guy (any season)
-Robot Chicken (any season)
-Iron Man
-Batman Begins
-Batman: The Dark Knight
-Office Space

And I'm sure there are so many others that are good as well.

Personally, I'd get DVDs only if you REALLY want them. I gots Netflix so I can check out movies I haven't seen or was recommended to me through mail or I can run it through my 360 (if it's available) and have it instant queued so I can see it immediately.

I really loved Wall E, everybody I know didn't like it. I think it was better than finding Nemo. It was the first movie that I loved about a relationship between two robots.

Its the best Pixar film since Toy Story.

I've heard that Up is going to be even better.
